Our Mission in 2025

We spent 2024 fortifying the network of founders that make up the Midwest Founders Community (MFC). The membership includes founders from every corner of the Midwest, every industry & every stage of business lifecycle.

We are a diverse group of individuals – but one thing unites us – we have built something from nothing. Taken a kernel of an idea and brought it to life.  This shared experience means there is a deep understanding, sense of candor & willingness to help each other to learn, grow & keep moving forward. Our mission remains the same, even as we grow this vast network, to connect founders to community, capital & customers.

Community 

From 1:1 introductions with connections to important resources; to small dinners with important conversations about what it takes to build in this part of the country; to large ruckus celebrations where we highlight our greatest moments of triumph and the hardship it took to get there – MFC is where founders go to be with one another, to feel fully seen & heard. Capital

This year we created a series of curated spaces for founders actively raising their next round of funding to interact with capital allocators from across the country. We’ve continued to grow our angel & VC network alongside our founder membership to ensure folks are only one degree of separation from the contacts they need, precisely when they need them. 

We also spent the year developing another important resource for the ecosystem - the Founders Community Fund. Our hope is that this revenue based financing entity will empower founders to grow their businesses sustainably while retaining control, aligning our success with theirs. Customers 

In late 2023, we launched the B2B SaaS Club to intentionally connect SaaS founders with area corporations for new pilots and early trials of their products as paying customers. Throughout the year, we connected dozens of corporations with founders to present their products or services, and receive invaluable feedback. Early adopters became internal allies and we saw new customer relationships born of this unique chance to experience the latest technology being created right here in the Midwest. Corporate CIOs + CTOs & SaaS Founders are welcome to join this private subnetwork.
